Patrick Dougherty a lifelong resident of Indiana County and a 2000 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law.
During law school, Dougherty was a legal intern at the national level with the United States Attorneys Office homicide Prosecution Unit in Washington, D.C., and with the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel from 1999-2000. Dougherty was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society and served as Assistant Managing Editor of Juris Magazine. Upon graduation he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to President Judge William Martin and Judge Gregory A. Olson in the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas from 2000-2001.
District Attorney Dougherty serves as the Chair of Criminal Justice Advisory Board and serves on Parole Board, Prison Board, Drug Treatment Court, Suicide Task Force, Elder Abuse Task Force, Camp Cadet, MDT, Children’s Advocacy Center, Community Disability Awareness Workshop, and the Evergreen Boys & Girls Club.
